So if I have an xbox that I plan on XBReboot-ing (Homebrew) and will never see live again, is the firmware I should go with?
I want a firmware that will boot any and everything for my Lite-On. Is this it?

Once you have IExtreme on a drive, to get it into vendor you have to do the tray half open, then press "Vendor Intro", should pop into vendor mode...did you try that when you did the half open?

Yep,
Get a Status x051 on the Benq....
The Benq gets detected correctly in flash properties.

Can anyone else confirm if thsi is happening to them also?

I got this error when I loaded in this ixtreme ixtreme93450 template

Theoretically, shouldnt this fw be just as 'safe' as 1.61 if you take care when making backups and double check with Abgx , The way I understand it is, The stealthed firmwares are to prevent people from playing bad copies as they didn't properly verify the disks, are there other things going on that I'm missing?
Datenshiz
Yes, if you verify the rips and they all check out. This will be just as safe, it may even be safer as speculations on why ixtreme gets banned include "stealth check takes too long" to execute so MS can detect a firmware that does stealth checks. Whether that's true or not i have no idea, its a theory.

Hi guys, just a quick question.

I need to flash a Liteon 748 with this, but I cant see a firmware with the 748 label?

Do I use the ix16-liteon-repack_nostealth firmware?

Please help, cheers

That is correct, I flashed my 7xx last night and no insta-ban.
Takashi
that's because there are no instabans with firmware mods, there's no predictable pattern.

I would like to know that as well, i was on live last night for about an hour, rebooted the console a few times and signed back in, so far so good. I verified my backup twice in abgx before using it.
MadXandroz
so your playing backups online

how long did you use it for cause i wanna try it but i dont have the guts

all i care for is the harddrive if they wanna ban me ban me screw it i dont care but the harddrive is important

and uncrippling is a pain

Dude yes i played online with backups for about an hour, I got a backup box just in case
MadXandroz
well i dont have the guts to do it

one more thing if agbx gives all green i am all set and clean copy

what is the video crc thing i should add

well if its all green i guess its safe

i will wait for a firmware from secret service as he is the only one doing his job while others are like ignoring us till he releases something like litetouch before ce4eva does

so people can just ignore ce4eva as he is doing for us right now
robo989
There are NO instabans being done by Microsoft at the moment...All speculation\reports on this page of the thread are irrelevent (exclamation mark!)

I don't know if the guy who made this edited version cares but there are issues on the Benq version.

Certain perfectly working games come up with unreadable error. I know discs work cause switched back to 1.61 it worked perfectly fine. Disc read error every time with Benq non stealth.

I know I could use the Benq non stealth released by C4eva but I love the play/rip feature. So if anyone does want to address it, i'd like that but not expecting. Thanks.

It's OK I sorted it by making my own version biggrin.gif

Problem solved.

so are people playign online, with no ban yet on 1.6 nonstealth with a liteon? ive been trying to gt a benq with 1.41 nonstealth, not much luck tho, but can get a liteon console thats stock currently have it updated on live then flash after update. won be on live much, probably just for roster updates, title updates, etc
mateusz4444
I'm playing online with it(flashed day after release on liteon 7k), and still not banned.

It's not safe to be online.
thefinalprophey
Have people been getting banned in the last month or so?
mateusz4444
Maybe it's not safe, but i want only to use free month for new console. If i'll be banned, i'm ok with it. Btw. as far as i know no one got banned with this.
