Ok, so I wired up a 16mb jasper that came to me with no drive firmware. I read that the new xbr doesn't show key information when booted into xell so I flashed redline's version of xell via lpt after several successful nand reads. After shuting down and unhooking I tried to boot the xbox but nothing happens, tried to reflash and it doesn't see the flash controller now. I have tried several times to short out 41-44 of the nand with no success. Still nothing working........any suggestions?

Short 44-47 and try again.

I've tried both because I've seen conflicting posts, but I could be doing it wrong. Should everything be hooked up including lpt to pc? Should the pc be on? Should I short on the lower part of the pin or closer to the chip?

Put a flat head screw driver on the 360 bridging the pins.
Power the 360 on.
It should short it.
Then try nandpro again.

360 won't power on, tried bridging the pins and then plugging in to no avail. Not sure what else to try.

Have followed any tutorial I could find. Seeing that I have a good nand dump is swapping the nand from another 16mb board a valid option? If so can it be any version board because I don't seem to have any dead jaspers lying around for some reason.....

i would not give up on the flash just yet. Shorting the pins won't make the xbox come back on it will only allow you to flash the nand again. Try this: unplug xbox for about 5 minutes, next short pins (holding short). Plugin. Remove short and immediately try with nandpro. Try several times. I have yet to see the flash actually die. It may be a timing thing.

I really don't want to give up on it, just getting a little frustrated after so many attempts. Don't even know what I did wrong during the flash the first console I did went fine but it was a xenon. I may have a fresh set of eyes coming over later today to see if I'm overlooking something in the mean time any other suggestions are appreciated too!

WHOOOOOO!!!! My jasper is alive again. It took forever and to many different short combinations to count but I finally got it by shorting 36-48. I DO NOT SUGGEST DOING THIS!!! It was my last resort though and it worked. Thanks to anyone who tried to help.
