Ok I wanted to share something with all of you and it could save you from a virus.

I recently made a deal for a trade with someone on here. He sent his xbox to me and after receiving it. I sent mine to him. I went to staples to send UPS.

It isnt scheduled to arrive until Tuesday but I check my email and there is this one from UPS saying that my package was not delivered because of a bad address or something. Please see the attached invoice.

So I download the zip file and extract to the desktop. It looks like the icon of a word file but because I have SHOW all extensions on i notice the file is an exe which makes me suspicious. So i decide to scan it.

Yep a virus. These pricks are pretty good. I have no clue who it is, it could be just a random email that i would have just deleted if i didnt have a package sent out. Or maybe it was and employee at staples or UPS idk?? Im glad i didnt open it but pretty pissed off about it.

Anyway just wanted to make you all aware to always be careful with email no matter who they are from and always set your computer to show all extensions. Most computers hide known extensions which is a bad idea.

For anyone that does not know how to enable extensions i suggest you google it.

I never download attachments even if I know you!

interesting note, this email would be blocked by gmail, it doesnt allow .exes to be sent as attachments, and it will scan in zip (but not rar) files for them

Just call me a Noob but what is this "email" stuff i hear some much about. Is there a tut on it i can read. I would really like to learn about the "email". Also if you have time can you explain "texting"

oh and dont trust UPS use fedex
