Hi:
I just bought a new panasonic plasma TV. (42 inch, resolution is 1024x768, but 16:9 wide screen).

the TV support VGA input (SOG support also) and component video. I wonder if vga is better than component video in this kind of situation?

my mainly usage is XBMC.

thanks a lot for your help!!

AFAIK, The signals contained in those 2 types (VGA and Componant) are of the same quality. There should really be no difference.

Reason I say this is because I believe they both have a max res of 1080i, are both still analogue signals, and are both coaxial type (good VGA cables are anyway) inside.

I could be wrong tho.

thanks a lot for your information. I saw many discussion about vag and component video in xbox360(not xbox1). component video seems more difficult to handle correctly
by TV. so some TV nowadays seems don't have good quality in component video. I just wondering the situation in xbox1...
