AS some of you may know I have been all over trying to flash my jasper 256. I have flashed before and wasnt a complete NOOB, using the same pc set up and wiring, i couldnt get the right flash config, Error reading block. After days of soldering and re soldering. I got the right flash config, and it reads for ten min or so, and then the reading block errors start,
How can I build on this success ?
Do i have to read the entire 256 ? (nandpro lpt: -r256 jasper.bin )
thanks i got the right config on my last try, right before i was about to call it quits, now i have new life....

only the first 70mb, hmm I would use my guide here on flashing with xellous but I am not sure if I would proceed if your getting errors after 10 min. What is the error your getting.
Here is my link to my guide:
http://docs.google.com/View?id=dnfmv5h_0hbhwdzfvIt has all the commands for 256.
Discuss here:
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=703757Now with my method you never read or write for more then 5mins. So you should be able to do it, but that up to you if you want to proceed.

it only reads the first 10 blocks or soo
after that i get error reading block 0 on all the rest of them
it was so hard getting it to this point that I dont think its a good idea to play with the wireing agin. I lilltery had to get the wires down to 3 inches...
its actually becoming very spntanious, Im thinking another connectiong soldering error, but if that was the case then why when i start it back up it goes detects ok.
Sometimes it can read for 5 min, sometimes 5 seconds before getting an error. Sigh, this is becoming a nightmare of a process.

Might be time to shell out for a multimeter and check your soldering, only time i've really seen that error is with a bad connection somewhere.

Im just curious: Do you still try this without the 100ohm resistors ?

yes even on the second pc, I didnt need resistors. I think i read somewhere that only the old pcs need resistors, both the pcs, that I have used so far, have been P4, which isnt new i know but isnt quite old either..
