so far this layout is right, right?

the red LED already there is for my HD activity.

i wanna put the network one next to it but its the dvd-rom.

im thinking of some kind or rail that touches, even when it opens, or something like a spring so it touches only when closed.

what do you think? is it possible, i think so.

just need to find a way to mount the spring or whatever in the dvd-rom

any suggestions?

i dunno bout all that, i myself would probably opt to replace the current led with a bi color led (tho you'd have to use some transistors due to the shared ground)
or possibly squeeze it in on the other side
