hi guys, im currently running 1.51 on my xbox elite and have found some games dont work. My understanding this is a wave issue and sometimes can be resolved with a activation disk, however this isnt the case for all games. Halo ODST for example.
Now due to dvd+r DL's being quite expensive and hard to come by where i live, what i want to know is there some program i can run on the iso to see if its gonna work or maybe can unlock it so it will work?

abgx360 gui default settings will tell you what version you need and how to get it to play. they also have a app that will patch your backup for you

ok so its a wave 3 game and i had to download a wave 3 patch video file, now its patching atm. should it be good to go when its done?

activation disk will not work on 1.51. 1.51 is wave 3 compatible so with halo odst wave is not the problem. may be a bad rip or burn. use image burn and burn at real slow speed (2.4). use good media. some drives have problems with cheap disks. use abg360 to check your game before burning. it will pick up some problems with image file. for newer wave games you can patch the iso to wave 3. ive used 360 wave patcher for this. if you go to play a newer wave and you get an update loop youll need to get the update from an original disk that is of the same wave or higher or from M$ website. what kind of problems are you having what errors are you getting

My xbox will play games that i burnt last summer cod4 left for dead ,etc, but for the last few months none of the new games i burn work, it's not my burner as I can burn old Iso's and they work fine. Is there some thing needed to do to burn newer games like cod5-2?

update your firmware, and re-rip them from originals.

We don't discuss patching your old backups, with downloaded files.
