1) My first question is if MS can detect if i draw power from the Fan power jack. I was thinking of connecting the Original fan and a extra fan to a Fan power controller.

And was wondering if they can see that i no longer draw power from there and what they can do about it.

2) I want to connect a pair of Cold Cathodes to the Fan power controller aswell. The only problem is that the Cathodes are 2pin connection and the Fan Power Controller Connection is 3pin. Do anyone know how to fix so that you can decide how bright they should be?

3) Has anyone done any of this before?

you shouldnt be taking power from the fans jack or youll burn the fuse.

I'm not going to draw power from the MB i will have an External 12v Power supply connected to the Fan Power Controller. What i was wondering is if MS will be able to see that I DON'T draw power from the Fan power Jack and if they will do anything about it.
