I'm in the middle of repairing a couple of problem xbox's, first one i rebuilt the hdd and have a green led at least with sound but no video. I was getting error code 5 but using the eeprom i rebuilt and locked the hdd, previously had video when i got the error code - V1.6. 2nd xbox is chipped but chip doesnt seem to work and i have no audio or video but no red or flashing led- V1.4. The video cable is fine as i use it with other xbox's.

try using the enigmah video mode switcher to make the output pal.

A bit hard when i have no video at all, my tv is ntsc/pal so if it was outputing ntsc i would get a picture.

I dont think what the xbox is set at right now matters to enigmah. I have used it when I set my xbox to pal by mistake and the menu and everything came up. Even if the menu doesnt come up someone here can let you know what to hit to get it back.
