Ok with the little ccfl rings around them like the ones at case-mod.com are the light rings removeable? I assume that's what you guys are doing right? Just taking the ring off it and attatching it to the hdd power cable and then putting it around the jewel. Am I right? Thanks

yes you are right, the rings are removable, and you just plug them in.

Ok, that's cool. Then can I just replace the sotck xbox fan with this one? Is there anywhere I can buy just the ring? That would prob be cheaper. LOL. Also, why don't they make orange ccfl rings? Anyone know where I can find an orange one? Thanks

go on ebay, I've seen orange ones there. They are cheap.. on eBay u can find a fan w/ the cathode for about 15$ with shipping included if u look well. And yes I've seen orange ones there. I havent seen any place where u can just buy the cathode alone, so eBay is ur best bet i think.

You can connect the fan that comes with the ccf but that might be little loud.. i would suggest getting a quieter fan. All you need to do is buy the three pin connector, and cut down the 4 bottom edges of the fan to make it fit where the original xbox fan is.
