NandPro 2.0c *Update: 2.0d*
Posted by XanTium | February 8 21:37 EST | News Category: Xbox360

A new version of NandPro(info) has been released, the original cmd-line tool that allows you to read/flash the Xbox360 NAND via LTP or USB:
What's new/fixed:
* Bit settling verify feature added for LPT reading
* Add support for Jasper16a
* Improved detection for virtual nand device, fixes some problems with writing to vnand.
* Always corrects the ECC bytes (but not SPARE), even in raw mode
ie: A raw file that has been hex edited can simply be flashed with -w
* Added command line swithces
%r will read SPARE data only, 16 bytes per block
@w will write RAW file, while correcting block numbers
Can "force" a flash config on command line by appending :HexFlashConfig

*update* 2.0d has been released.
What's new/fixed:
* For compatibility purposes -w does not calculate ECC
* Raw files are flashed pure using -w. To correct ECC errors use *w instead
ie: A raw file that has been hex edited can simply be flashed with *w

wish i saw this yesterday because i would have grabbed the 2.0b version, didn't see this until just now tho. but i ended up using the 2.0c version to dump my nand and uncripple the hdd on my falcon using win xp sp3. two identical dumps w/ no bad blocks. worked fine.

will hold off on using it to flash xbr to my jasper16 tho until new release just as a precaution

I tried using nandpro D to flash the rawkv.binto xbr and it get a "could not open Virtual Nand Device File.XBR512.bin"

I use nandpro B and it works just fine... it there a different command when using the XBR? Read the rawkv.bin form the nand works fine with version D but not writing to xbr.

explame of what I mean.
nandpro newjasper64.bin: -r64 rawkv.bin 1 1
nandpro newjasper64.bin: -r64 rawconfig.bin EF7 2

works with verison B and D
But
nandpro XBR512.bin: -w64 rawkv.bin 1 1
nandpro XBR512.bin: -w64 rawconfig.bin EF7 2
give me "could not open Virtual Nand Device File.XBR512.bin" Using version D

Using version B it works fine...

it means that you have a 16MB jasper with the new southbridge.
If nandpro gave you FlashConfig:00023010 while reading, then you need to flash XBR_Jasper16a_8955_3.rar
Gouki
Flashed one 16a and two 512MB nwe southbridge Jaspers with
the NandPro 2.0b.. No issues, worked like a charm.

Is nandpro d compatible with the usb pic flasher?
niai
i couldnt see y it wouldnt work and it detects my usb dev so i would say it is compatible

Does that mean i can use USB cable instead of printer cable. I have a new pc without any printer ports.
Is it possible to use the USB cable?
i am having trouble with printer cable as my pc dosen't have a printer port.
rami1
YES. I have this problem too with 512MB and nandpro D.
nandpro B is fine.
