I have a little brother, whom my parents wouldn't appreciate him playing games like GTA, but I would still like to beable to have them on my xbox. I was just wondering if there is a way to set up some sort of blocking system, so that he would not be able to play the games without a password.

Just wondering... uhh.gif

did you check the parental settings on the dash?

parental controls in the MS dash should do the trick

okay, so would that allow me to set a password as well, cause I still want to play them bdaybiggrin.gif

This question was just for future reference, I simply wanted to know if I could, so that when I do get my xbox set up I would be able to leave it lying around and not have to worry about my lil bro banging some prostitute in GTA lol. anyways what i am getting at is how do the parental controls work? do they allow password protection? or do they simply block the games all together?

could the same be done for rated R movies?

Movies are beyond my scope of knowledge, but if you check my post in this backup forum I just got done messing with controls. If you set it at Mature and above, games rated Mature, Adult Only, and Rating Pending will simply refuse to load. You can input a 4 character password to go back into the parental controls and change it so you can play.

Thanks for the information...

now i cknow i can definitely leave my xbox at my house and not have to worry about my brother getting onto it and playing all those fun but inappropriate games.
