murauder
yes you can use evox to flash depending on What kind of TSOP chip you have
for a 1.1 i would use x2 5035 BIOS
but you will have to find that yourself
the tutorials are right at the top of the forum you posted this in. have a look there to figure it all out

if so. then you need to add that code to your evox.ini file
no need for slayers. just grab a copy of evox and install it to the hard drive. but if you insist on using slayers you need to get 2.7 as its the latest. and open it up with qwix to edit the evox ini and put that code in there. also edit the IP address to your xboxs IP (in case you want ftp). also put your BIOS in the BIOS folder. then use qwix to make it back into an xiso.

THESE are the points you need to jumper. if you arent good at soldering you can use a conductive pen (10 bucks at radio shack) to join them

i downloaded slayer's 2.7 cd and i check the evox.ini and the code u gave me it was already there so that's good so all i have to do is burn the cd and proceed and solder the points on the motherboard correct?
murauder
if your xbox is already softmodded then correct. and make sure you put the bios you want to flash in the BIOS folder.
xbox dvd drives are picky about the media they read. its best to try dvd-r (memorex seems to work well) burned at a slow speed. make sure its an xiso first too
$tArKiLl3R
which bios would it be best as on customizing the boot screen and that doesn't look for the dvd drive as am working on a slimbox project and where can i download it ............plzzzzzzzzzz
and 1 last thing where does he bios file go?
on the c: drive or in the cd
murauder
i already told you the bios to use earlier. x2 5035 vOLD it allows no dvd check and custom boot screen. also can be edited without reflashing through its config file.
you put it in the bios folder on the disk where the evoxdash and evox.ini file are located

google it or google xbins

no problem. you should post pics in the case mod section. maybe it will motivate me to get to work on my slim box. haha
just a question though. why did you not go with 5035? the config file allows you to change the boot screen and fan speed and stuff without having to reflash? also no need to resize the bios when flashing with evox. it does it for you (just for future reference).
$tArKiLl3R
i will try the 5035 tomorrow and i didn't know evox will resize the bios........if i use the 5035 bios where do i install the config file?
xboxmods2977
It goes on the root of the E Drive
