Man that would be freaking sweet. Where did you hear this? Anyone else know anything on this and when it will be released?

Rumours. It would be tough to fit an FTP server into a BIOS, even at 512K. A standalone implementation makes so much more sense.
You may be thinking of a debug kit. A unmodded debug box has an FTP server running in the dash, I believe.

So how can I setup my x2 pro modded xbox why an ftp server? I can't install evox since my hdd is messed up. But can I flash teh bios somehow and then connect and check out whats on the hdd and try to salvage it?

Boot to an EvoX boot disc, and then FTP in and fix whatever is "messed up" on your hard drive.

Well, that makes it kind of tough to diagnose. I'd recommend you do some reading, make sure you burn it properly (burn to DVD-R if possible), make sure the networking is straight, then try it again. We need to eliminate a few of your variables before we can move forward.

There are two essential things you should have:
1) A complete backup of your original drives untouched
2) A bootable CD that works with your network settings (Evox is perfect with a customized ini file)
These two items are of higher priority than any game, app, or media file since if something goes wrong you can't fix it and your xbox is screwed until you get them.

Exactly. I always tell all my customers backup their drives first thing when they get home... In addition, I supply an EvoX boot CD for *emergency recovery*.
Good advice!

Well that's my prob. I was trying to put on evox to setup the ftp and that and then backup the xbox and then send some games over. but it couldn't read my media so I tried to add another dvd drive to read my media and made a splitter w/ the orig. xbox power cable. So I got it working and thought I had it installed then I had my bro put the power cable back together (bad idea), lol he switched the 12v and 5v and I tried booting and it didn't work. then I notied what happened. I guess I fried the logic board I am told. I have a new one on the way w/ evox and some apps on it. I have no backup of mine and can't get the evox cd working. Can't figure out the network settings. Not sure what I would put for my ip. I am in a network and when the xbox would be added to it, the ip would be 192.168.1.104 so I tried that in the evox.ini, I am also not sure of the default gateway. I will figure it out soon though. I'm just going to go into my router and see what the settings would beexcluding the ip. But if the hdd and that doesn't work why would I be able to connect? Later *Update didn't have network stuff right. I put in the dns stuff and default gateway and that but still not sure on ip. Do I put the ip I want it to be or what? Or just 192.168.1.1? Not sure on this. Thanks. If anyone could get on AIM and help me with this my s/n is H3rEye51nRoam. Thanks

Def. my network settings. I have no idea what to put for them. Apparently my router sees the xbox though because the xbox is in the 4th port on the router and all the lights light up for the 4th port when xbox is powered up. Could anyone help me? I have a linksys befn2ps4. Do I just put the dns and gateways shown in the wan section when editing the router. Thanks

Your router most likely assigns IP addresses automatically so the Evox ini should not contain static IP information (set static to "no") that way Evox will allow the xbox to grab an IP assigned from the router. You shouldn't have touched the DNS/gateway settings - restore then to default if the router doesn't automatically take care of this but the main thing is your router is likely a DHCP server so you need to have static say "NO" and allow the router to assign the IP.
Let us know if that doesn't work (of course this means altering the evox.ini file and re-isoing it and reburning the disc). This is why you take a working ini directly from the harddrive and put it on the disc that way all the testing is done live rather than after a crash making changes with each successive burn.

If you don't want to take Xeero's word for it why not post directly to Team Xecuter on their bios forum - no one here is going to give you a more valid opinion. The only one who can offer better information is Ubergeek and Team Xecuter so try the source and if you find anything interesting please let us in on it.
