the flash might have got screwed up. You can try installing the switch on it and see if that helps.

i tried the switch that splits it two ways i didnt think is need to spilt it into 4 ways since the original bios before i resized it was 512k but tried that with no avail i think i might be forced into buying a modchip are the xray2 chips any good? if not im gonna go with a duox2 gs cromwell/flashbios as i might enjoy the duel bios ive already done all the casemodding and rewireing the front panel board and fabricating my own faceplate out of the gutted original and bondo-ing it all up its just a bit late to back out now its under 2" tall anyway some insight on those chips would be a huge help i might get the xray3 (29wire mod) just so i can restore the original tsop and keep the chip for later

Did you rebuild the hdd after the tsop flash ? It wont just read the original config, you need to re install all the files- use an auto installer, slayers or hexen or something like that.

.......wait hangover i havent done that i had no idea i needed to (first tsop flash) the problem is i cant boot any disks like that cause of the frags if you could help me figure this thing out id be so happy i dont have the eeprom key but since it is flashed with an x2 firmware it should read an unlocked hdd right? if nothing else ill have to build the lil eeprom reader id love to get this working without installing a modchip but shouldnt the board give me some sort of reaction i cant get video or audio out of it while it frags

the hdd would have nothing to do with a frag unless maybe it was shorting something out and then the xbox just wouldnt turn on at all. You most likely are gonna have to install a chip.

okay so can someone help me not kill my other xbox its also a 1.0 but its got a dying dvd drive i think. It only boots about 1 out of 10 times the other 9 i get error 12 so i figure i should flash it before it completely goes out that would fix the problem right just wondering what bios to use on it and what precautions to take

I havent tried this yet but it may work for you, with 1/ 1.1 V's you can add a couple of wires under the board and force it to boot another MS bios, worth a shot - there is a tute in the sticky's .

TSOP flashing wouldn't fix the problem, but it would allow the Xbox to boot without a DVD (which I suspect is what you meant!)
It sounds as though the BIOS you flashed is corrupt. How did you resize the BIOS to 1024k?
Not that it matters. When you flash the next one start off with a clean download of the X2.5035 BIOS (old, not 1.6), check it with BIOS Checker on your PC to make sure it hasn't been corrupted, and don't resize the BIOS before flashing - let Evox do it for you automatically.
