i read on the FAQ thing above. That if my console was banned i can still recover my gamertag on a brand new console, and resume xbox live play. It also says u can move ur HDD to a new console aswell and it will be ok.

My concern is, my HDD right now notes my saved games/profiles to be corrupt. If i bought a new xbox and put my HDD, and recovered my gamertag, would everything be ok?

Yes, everything would be fine. You would just have to delete the corrupt profiles before recovering them from Xbox LIVE or you would have to use a program to uncorrupt the profiles yourself to prevent yourself from losing all of your saves.

id be better suited prolly to just delete the profiles and saves. I really dont mind losing any saved game data. I just want my gamertag and xbox live back
