This is an experimental update to the driver to make it work ok with Debian Lenny/Sid. The colours problems is fixed as well as the driver not compiling/booting on latest X.Org. I have only tested on my machine running Sid fully upgraded, please report if it compiles / run ok on other distributions.

Nice to see somebody is still working on the linux side of things. I would love to see full graphics support and sound and this brings us another step closer. thanks man. pop.gif
MaDMaLKaV
Sound is already supported. When we get some more features added on the 2.6.33 kernel we will try to make a new livecd.
xmugen360
thank you! i remember when I booted to gnome via king kong people said this would be impossible! Thanks for your hard work!
MagicVooDoo

Good job mate, there is definitely too little work on the linux side of xbox hacking these days. Keep carrying the torch!
Sonic-NKT
hope there is more behind the curtains work done on linux than news that reach the outside world smile.gif
i cant wait for an updated linux with sound and better graphics driver (2D acceleration would be awesome wink.gif )
imo thats much more intresting than "most" xdk stuff.

@Sonic-NKT
As MaDMaLKaV mentioned bevore, Sound is already implemented.
Take a look here http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/Ek...lVulUXwsEKC.php

@Topic
I tried to compile it in my installed ubuntu 7.10 but still no luck.
got errors over and over.

I will try to compile it with the debian live cd but that is my last resort.
MagicVooDoo
okay downloaded and installed automake 1.9 but now i got this error:

configure: error: configure built with too old of a version of xorg-macros.m4 - requires version 1.1.0 or newer
MaDMaLKaV
Just use the precompiled binary.
MagicVooDoo
Okay, but where is it ? lol
Thought it should be a file called "xenosfb_drv.so" but there is no such file in your "xenosfb_source.zip" archiv.

Other thing, do u have some sort of install.sh for your debian sid including your updated xenosfb?
Already searched the whole net but most debian install scripts contain offline links.

MaDMaLKaV
The binary should be somewhere here: http://www.mediafire.com/?toule9azzud9m

About Debian install script, I used one from free60.org for an old version I apt-get updated , aput-get upgraded and apt-get distupgraded it like seven times to get into Sid.
MagicVooDoo
wow 7 times sounds like a lot installation time.
I will try to update to ubuntu 8.04 LST Hardy via the built in upgrade function.
Will let u know if it works.

Thank's again.

By the way:
With the new dashlaunch 2.0 for J-tag consoles u are able to launch xell from the sytem menue.
This enables full cpu speed in Linux.
Just like it was with the original King Kong exploit.

Since my JTAG broke down, i didnt know ya could boot linux from NXE.

How do ya o this ??? Do you still need the KK disc, or is it a normal linux live disc ??
xlokix
You need freeboot and configure it to boot xellLaunch.xex.

Nice to see linux running full speed again.. too bad flash 10 doesn't work on PPC. I heard Lightspark is coming out with a PPC port soon. smile.gif Until then I'm trying out TinyXP using QEMU.

Try gnash - a flash alternative, works on most sites including youtube, not sure it works on PPC but worth a shot.

It's not full speed... still 700mhz 1 core working as far as I know, or did something major happen in the last 6 months pop.gif
