I am currently unable to get my Halo 2 disc to coldboot (sometimes it goes into the game but the light changes to orange), so i'm wanting to un-softmod my box for wednesday night when they shut off xbox 1 live.

I also cannot find my mechassault disc, so could I use xboxhdm to restore to the original MS Dash using this tutorial http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=426328

Also if you guys have any insight into why the game won't coldboot that would be great... It either goes to slayer's dash or to the game (with orange light)

check the time/date if its off that could be why, if not then the DVD drive is not reading the disk the first time (when coldbooting)

try a reboot from your dash if the led goes green then your good to go..
