It looks like he may have unsoldered the plug from the motherboard and rf board, and connected them directly using wire.

Hi, as dragonslayer1987 said, I removed both plugs off the mother board and rf board and soldered them together with wire and the fans are off ebay 120mm slim case fans, they come in 3 speeds 800,1200 and 1600rpm I just solder them to the underside of the power plug (12v)

look in the tut section on the pinned list for a detailed tutorial on internalizing hard drive, solder a regular sata cable to the seven, I think, data pins behind the hd plug on the motherboard and then take a molex to sata plug and solder it to a 5v source and ground connect all the plugs to the hard drive and thats it. Just be sure you don't want to use that plug anymore before you solder in the sata cable because it is useless with the cable connected.

I am getting ready to work on a similar mod, I need to tuck the motherboard into a small space, and I was just wondering what heatsinks you used for the GPU and CPU.
Thanks

Looking real awsome.
Can you explain the Mini USB D into the Hard drive ? Instead of a standered Sata ?

I'd switch the fan for a "CoolerMaster Silent Blue LED Fan 120mm"
Pushing 90CFM at only 19dBA (2000rpm); a noise to airflow ratio never achieved before

Just wanted to let you know this is great!
Also, i will be making a "clone" of this with the following differences.
1. Slot loading DVD drive (yet to be created on my part)
2. ROL will be left in tact on the front of the casing and I will have the LED's shine through the plexi (by shaving down the spots for it to shine through)
3. Power/Sync/Eject will be touch switches, also hidden behind the plexi (I have yet to see how well a touch sensitive switch will work behind thick plexi)
4. 2 USB ports will be on the Front of the unit, the rear of the unit will have 1 also. (unless I decide to take the plunge and internalize Wifi)
this will not be a jtag console, so it must have a dvd drive and i would also like to keep the ability to use stock HDD's with it (at least by a sort of adaptor cable or something) possibly a smexy "dock" themed the same as the console.
It will have an internalized HDD (250GB) but this will be removable, similar to the 360S (probably not as elegantly done)
Now that you have read this whole thing you can most likely tell "slim" is not a high priority. Looks and functionality is going to be my most important factor in this design.
Thanks for the inspiration!

The Old Gpu heatsinks are quite small you should think about putting heatpipes in it and trying to extend it a bit. well thats what i think anyway.. =]
