This is a new skin I made for XboyAdvance (Madmab Edition). For those who saw my other Xboyadvance beta skin, I took somethings from that, though I am working on that other one now, I just wanted to do this one first. With this I went with SP's all around, the other one will be original Gameboy Advance systems and have a brighter tone.

This skin has a custom load screen, main menu, rom selection screen, options screen, and synopsis screen.

It looks really nice but once again I think you need to devote more space to the game list and less to the background graphics. The game list itself is the most important part of the screen.

I made it wider so that the titles weren't super short, but as far as number of lines, it has way more than some of the larger art presets that came with the emulator. That's actually why I even made it, I wanted to have the huge art, but with more than 4 lines on the game list. This skin displays 10 lines, 9 games at a time.

I suppose I could make several set ups within the skin so everyone can be happy... like Video - no Box art, Screen Shot - No Box Art, Video - Box Art, and so on.

Here is another version of the skin for people who want larger rom lists and less artsy stuff.

In this you can now go to the Skin Configuration menu and load the following: "Video and Boxart" or "Video no BoxArt"

I tried for other configs with no video, but the video wouldn't go away then if I turned it off it wouldn't come back when I loaded anew config with video... so I figure if anyone wants they can swap out the video for a screen shot in the skin editor.

Yeah sorry about that. For some reason I didn't feel comfortable saving the movie playback yes/no settings with the skin and chose to have it in the general ini.

Anyways just set the "movie preview" size to 0,0 (position doesn't matter) and the emulator will not play the movie on that skin configuration.

I thought it was rather odd that you never had that option in the skin config.
Doesn't bother me personally but it restricts skinning options a little.
I didn't say anything as i didn't want to rock the boat, believe it or not, lol.

I did try to set the movie to 0-0 but it froze up the emulator horribly... It didn't crash it, but I pressed back and it took about 10 seconds to finally click back out of the Rom browser.

Look's good.. same as the other gba one. I want to try them out soon.

Ive already dl'd this one. Im just lazy and havn't ftp'd it yet. Looking forward to the more popular consoles if you decide to do them.

I will do a SNES for sure, maybe Genesis. But Gameboy was pretty popular

Had no prob with the box art, just thought the game list should be wider. But whatever, still looks good either way.

Well I don't know what will happen if you already had a game selected, a movie playing, and then go into the skin editor and set it to a size of (0,0).

So try setting it that way, saving the configuration, and then loading it again. Maybe even moving "off" of whatever game you were on at the time and see if it stops..

I'll see if I can reproduce the problem.. But I do know this is what gilou does with his skins and I've never heard anything back from him. But then he was bad about reporting issues (like my little box/cart art orientation bug) and another little nasty bug I discovered on my own.

That probably was the problem, because I did just jump back to the game list when it froze up. I will keep this in mind for future skins, and maybe when I am bored of skinning I can make a pack of them and have the other configs in there.
