I have two xbox360s which I need to JTAG. Both have some issues: "Bad Blocks"

Lets call them XboxA and XboxB
(edit:
-Both Boxes nands have been read several times and compared
-this is output from opening the nands in Degraded.)
--------------------------
XboxA:
Has 3 Bad blocks:

@0x44 found at 0x3FD
@0x43 found at 0x3FE
@0x31 found at 0x3FF
--------------------------
XboxB
Has 1 bad block

@0x379
--------------------------

Question:

Why is the bad block in XboxB NOT relocated?

I've been theorizing a little: - Is it because it so "late" in the nand
that it isn't used and I can proceed as if no bad blocks? (probably not)

Can someone please answer this?

Thanks

Bad blocks which are not remapped are a result of a bad read. Are you getting the same bad block addressed each time? How many times did you dump the NAND for comparison?

World record in late replies, but here goes:

I've dumped the nand five times and I still get error in the same block which is not relocated.

I don't know, move it manually. XboxA has blocks in the required move area though. smile.gif Any bad blocks in he first 50 is a guarantee no reboot without remapping. wink.gif Personally I only remap them when I have to get it to boot. I've foolishly ignored may bad blocks, with no ill-effects, occasionally I have to remap to boot.
