You can take an easy route and go with some of Krylons Fusion paint which does not require the surface to be prepped (sanded, primered, etc.). I have used it and it works great, but only comes in limiter colors....16 I believe. The stuff does work great though.

Start painting the inside (edges) of the case the turn it around (when dry) and paint the outside, try to paint from all sides finish of the top wit one coat so the whole X is wet.
Take your time and dont rush.
DONT get to close with the sparay can.
DONT paint in moist and cold conditions or leave it out at night (it might fog up).
Highend paints are the best:
Acrylic car paint
Brand Names:
Krylon Fusion
Motip Car Paint
Dupli-Color Auto Paint
You can also use Vinyl Dye

i found that tamiya model paint is excellent quality, and durability. it also is very easy to work with. but it is quite expensive compared to other paints. and they come in small cans (100ml)
but yeah do what tyksak said as he does the best paint jobs ive seen!

so should i go with the krylon or use the other method with sanding, painting, and clear coating?
If i should do the second one... what order should i do things in?

I suppose it really depends on what color(s) you are going to use. With Krylon Fusion there are only 16 colors available, but you dont need to sand or clear coat (they are all glossy finish I believe). If you go with some other type of paint then it would probablly be a good idea to do any light sanding, if necessary, then prime and paint. Clear coat would also be a good idea to prevent scratches as well. Just my opinion. I do a lot of computer case modding / painting, but mainly work with metal and wet sanding, so process is a little different with plastics. Also take your time. Too many people want results and rush the paint job, remember that the most important thing is not what others think, but what you think. Gotta be able to look at it and say "I did a damn good job!"

Hey thomes, since you already sanded and primed, go with one fo the other paints. The Krylon Fusion will work fine even though you already primered, but it is more expensive than others. It's your choice, but your options are open. Good luck.
