Hey, I just modded a Xbox for the first time...(I know behind the times just a little, but I never had one before one was given to me with an error 16) So now I have some backups of some old games that are in iso format. I was wondering how to install these to the upgraded HD I installed. Can I leave them in iso format and put them in F:games: inside their own folder or do I need to extract the iso? If so what program do you suggest using to extract the iso? I have the FTP working also.

The software you used to build the ISOs in the first place should allow you to extract them.

My friend at work let me have a bunch of old games. I used XBC to rip them with my computer. I would use DVD2Xbox to install them but I want to save the laser. I do not see where XBC has the option to extract contents of ISOs.

there is a pc program called Qwix that will extract the files from iso. But its easier to set up qwix to ftp the games to the xbox.

Thanks!! That is what I need. I just don't want to kill the laser on this thing since I dont know what kind of shape it is in and it seemed to take a while to install the Slayers disk
