Hi guys,

so got this ylod ps3 wich i dissambled today to reflow the gpu.
everything went fine.
when the mobo cooled down i attached the psu to look if it ylods again.
and it didnt.
then i hit the main power switch to prevent the ps3 from booting because no heatsinks where attached.
since then the ps3 is dead.
no red standby light.......just dead.
i checked the 5 pinouts from the psu with a multimeter
pins 1, 2 and 3 are dead and pins 4 and 5 have 5v.

i found these pinout voltages in the forum:

1 = 12V power on/off(don't mess with!)
2 = 5V return
3 = 5V return
4 = +5V
5 = +5V


soooo
i guess because there are no 12v the psu is broken?
is there a fuse or something i can fix or do i need to get a new psu if it is indeed the psu...?

are there any other things that could have happened?

open up the PSU and check inside, there's a fuse, but it's soldered in. Be careful with the capacitors.

i checked the fuse a couple of minutes ago....sadly its fine, 0.6 ohms
and now?

how do i check if the psu gives 12v or not?

does anybody know a similar site like x-box experts for ps3?

is there something around in the net?

ps3 is working again!

it wasnt a broken psu.
it was the small flat cable wich connects the mainboard to the power and eject board wich was broken.
