Hey guys, im not new to modding, ive done a few in the past, but im looking to make a new box, and this time I think im going liquid cooled. Ive heard good and ive heard bad, but I guess I just need some input from the community. My questions:
1. Whats the cheapest, most effective liquid cooling system? I dont want to spend 300+ on Koolance's complete set, and I would like to internalize it with the DVD drive intact (I dont want to take it out, my box isnt Jtagged). I dont mind mixing and matching radiators/pumps/hoses etc, but this IS my first liquid cooling mod, so im not sure what to look for. If someone could compile a trusted parts list, I would greatly appreciate it. If internalizing everything is going to make it that much more expensive, I will probably keep it outside.
2. Is it really worth doing other than bragging rights? In my personal experience, the addition of just about any fan mounted to the side or simply some whisper fans will sufficiently cool an xbox 360, and I hear liquid cooling just isn't worth it. I hear problems are amplified tenfold if you plan on keeping it internalized.
3. To anyone who has a liquid cooled system, do you regret spending money on the mod? Do you still enjoy how cool it keeps it? Is the maintenance on a liquid cooled system annoying and complicated, or simple and worry free?
If I think of any other questions, ill shoot them at ya, and thanks in advance for all of your help guys.
