I am relatively new to modding. I have an xbox 360 that has been flashed a while ago, I think at least 2 years ago. My question is can that xbox 360 play newer games. I do not play on xbox live so I do not care about online features. I just want to know if I can play newer games with older firmware, without actually having to update the firmware on it. Thank you very much, I appreciate your help.

Well it depends on the firmware you have. What is yours?

Depends what drive and obviously what firmware that drive has on it.

If you've got a Hitachi with iX1.51 then it'll still play everything. If you've got a Samsung/Liteon/BenQ with iX 1.6 then you won't be able to play above Wave 3.

Simple answer is to get your drive up to the latest firmware. Find out what drive you have and if you're going to do it yourself then read the JungleFlasher tutorial at www.jungleflasher.net.

It's the best and only piece of software you'll ever need.
