i am (trying) to solder some connections (scart, component, composite and vga) onto my xbox (1); i found the schematics but i was wondering if i can use a common ground pin. e.g. pin 4 and pin 5 are ground connections for audio left and right (pins 2 and 3), but can i use a common ground pin for audio. so can i only use pin 4 (ground) for both pin 2 and pin 3 (so 1 ground for the 2 audio signals).

same question for the video signals; is ground just ground. so can i use just 1 ground pin (pin 4) for all signal pins (so for audio, video etc. etc.). or do i have to use for audio left the pin connection 2 (signal) - 4 (ground); audio right 3 (signal) - 5 (ground); Svhs 19+22 (signal) and 17+20 (ground) or can i just take 1 ground point (4) and use that as ground. if so, can i also use any other ground point (e.g. screwhole) to use as ground?

try the screw hole near the A\V connector

so i can use one common ground (screwhole near the av connector)... that saves me a lot of trouble getting the mainboard into my new to make casing since i can reduce the number of wires by almost half which will make it fit a little bit easier.

I used a common ground for VGA, Component, SPDIF and analogue audio, didnt have any problems with ghosting or interference.

Should be fine imo
