Is it possible to hack the high-definition AV pack to turn it into an HDMI out?
Yes, this would not improve video quality, but it would unclutter things behind my TV and free up its only component input.

No. HDMI is a digital video signal. The xbox will not output a digital video signal.
yes you can there is something you can buy on ebay that converts scart to hdmi.

I know it is not possible I just pointed to the closet thing that can be done.
