I have a couple of XBoxen running XBMC as main dash. Couple of months ago I grabbed XBMC-SVN_2010-07-08_rev30442-T3CH and put it on one unit. But it's been freezing up intermittently ever since. So I decided to re-do whole install. Previously, the box would boot into XBMC normally, but if I wanted to get to UnleashX dash, I just booted with dvd tray open. Thing is, I can't recall how I did that, nor find the site that had the instructions. Help appreciated.

Dual-booting isn't actually a function of XBMC - odds are it would've been a function of your softmod. Which one are you using?

I used Splinter Cell softmod. So far I haven't been able to replicate what I'd previously done with dual boot. However, I did find the cause of freezing: upnp. Man, I still prefer xbmc on xbox1 to anything on the 360s (excluding games).

Which Splinter Cell softmod? There are quite a few, and they all work differently.

Wouldn't a better idea than trying to re-set up the tray out dash simply to put in some controller shortcuts to the dash(es) of your choice on boot/reboot.

In fact I've been doing just that today. My main dash is UnleashX and you do need that to set up the short cuts but once done is there any reason why you can't use XBMC as your main dash or would that render the shortcuts void?

Anyway I now have MS dash, Evox/UnleashX Install dash and XBMC installed as controller boot shortcuts. Simple to do and no less convenient than using the tray out dual boot system too.

I am quite curious myself what happened to T3CH. Anybody have any details? The most recent version I have is the 'XBMC-9.04.1-FIXED-BABYLON-T3CH' version that I downloaded on 06.01.09.

Good thing I keep copies of the downloaded files. I would be interested to know where/how I can get a more up to date version.
