Is there a software update that breaks this yet
And if I jailbreak my old fatty, can I restore Other OS?

Yes any system software from 3.42 to the new 3.50 kills jailbreak. These have come out over the past few weeks.
No otherOS yet but I am sure it will be very soon. New homebrew is comming out qlsmost daily and I am sure a custom os may be around at some point.

Ok, cuz my fatty has like 3.21 or 3.30 or something, nothing too recent that I recall.
