To start off i have a x2lite chip with 4977 bios on it and it works fine.

i am useing XBtool_0.9.7 along with XBtool_Color_BIOS_Preset_Maker_1.0b, so i make sure my colors are right.

These are the steps i go through on trying to make a new colored bios. ( If i miss a step or do somthing wrong please make a note of it.)

1st: i open XBtool_Color_BIOS_Preset_Maker_1.0b and cose the colors i like for the logo and the led system color. i hit save and a download page comes up and i save it in the presets folder of XBtool.

2nd:I open XBtool and go down to open and open the 4977 bios, next i go to presets and select the set i have made. i read, and conferm the the color and led changes. i select 1024 size and hit save.

3rd: i use flashftp to transfer my newly made bios to my bios folder in the c:.

4th: I restart and go to setttings and flash bios. i select the bios i have made and wait till it ends and shuts off.

Now when i restart my xbox it seems to have loaded the bios, but with no preset changes.

Now where did i go wrong. I know its somthing simple. ( i hope )

i resently have just read about you need to hash your evox ini. i have no clue what that means i think thats where i might be going wrong. if anyone can explane that. it would be awsome.

that has list is for evox to recognize the bios you are using. only if you want it to display which bios you are currently using...

you seem to be on the right track. do have your flash protected?

nope i keep flash protection off. what is a virgin bios?
also when you copy your "md5" where do you put it in your evox ini

dont worry about the help i finally fixed it. i need a new virsion of xbtool, since i was useing a new bios virsion.

Try using XBtool 0.9.9 it cant hurt to be using the newest version can it
