Here's the deal-
Bought a xbox off of some I don't know (Craigslist) and it turns out it has an xenium modchip in it. I can't access the menu any way it try, if I flip the recovery switch I get the "safe mode" menu, but it functions just like a unmodded xbox the rest of the time. The only way that I heard is that you push the whit button while it is booting, but nothing happens. The LED on the chip is green when the xbox is running, if that's any help.
Thanks in advance,
Ben
P.S. I'm using an off-brand controller if that makes any difference

Yes it does. Get an M$ stick. Then, simply turn on the box using eject and it should load the menu.

Using the eject button to boot up should take you straight to the xenium OS on the chip.

Thanks guys-
I bought a Microsoft controller and when I booted using eject it when straight to the xeinum menu. Got everything set up and am now running unleashX with XBMC. I wonder why it requires the m$ controller though? I've heard that the off-brand ones send some sort of usb signal that screws it up, but if that was the case then wouldn't having no controller plugged in do the trick? Anyways it really doesn't matter, so thanks again.

Typically, 3rd party controllers don't stop you from entering the menu. Some just cause the menu to run very choppy and unusable.
