I have an X3CE and an X3IR. I've been using the X3 for the past two weeks or so and everything's fine. I got an X3IR installed and it boots the Xbox on and off just fine. The only problem is I have a 1.6, and the default press time for short press is too long because the 1.6 is so picky about short presses. And I tried for three hours to get the X3IR manager to program the X3IR but nothing is working.

I was wondering if I soldered the d0 point to a ground it would force the chip to always be on so I wouldn't have to worry about the long/short press problem with the front buttons or the X3IR?

Nevermind, I just unplugged the wire going from the X3 to the power adapter. Works great, but I can't boot to the backup BIOS unless I plug it back in. No big deal though.
