I have a ps3 running 3.41 with a missing bluray drive and I wanted to jailbreak it but have no money right now. My question is if I jailbreak it with one of the solutions like usb micro-controller/ti-84 titanium/ipod touch/jailbreak do I still need the tool after jailbreaking the ps3 or can I just borrow my friends ipod touch and jailbreak my ps3 and give it back?

You need the device every time you want to boot into jb mode yes.

or..you jailbreak and don't turn the ps3 off!
