Hi, I can't find anywhere the schematics to make my own aladdin XT 4032 programmer. I have a bad flashed aladdin chip and the only solution is to program it using an external programmer as I don't have another aladdin to hotswap the SSt flash chip.

Thanks!

Schematics for that sort of thing will be tough to find. As an alternative, you could probably re-flash your SST chip if you can find an older PC motherboard with a socketed PLCC bios chip.

great idea! I just need to find an old PC now... Do you know any generic program to flash a PLCC chip on a motherboard?

Yep. There are a few programs available but I use Uniflash. It flashes and then verifies and also works with many different model chips.

Keep in mind tho that the SST49LF004B is a LPC/firmware hub, so in order to flash it, you will need a motherboard that uses the "firmware hub" type PLCC. For example, the ASUS P4PE Motherboard uses the Firmware Hub type and can flash chips up to 4 megabits (512k).
