I updated my dash to the kinect dash and now all of the discs I put in the box returns the "dirty disc error", even my original discs.

I have a Benq drive with one of the older iXtreme firmwares, probably 1.51 (flashed more than a year ago)

Will this be resolved if I update the firmware to the latest LT+ ?

You should try the search function! This question has been covered many times before.

Yes - providing you have not put a replacement drive in your xbox 360 - flashing to LT+ should resolve. If it still returns the error - put back the drive type that came with the 360. (ie Liteon/samsung/hitachi)

I did do a search but most of the results are regarding the AP2.5 games so...

Anyway I updated to the latest LT+ firmware and now the problem is solved.
