Hiya,

I hope someone can help. When my friend was trying a game recently she was asked to update the 360 with the Kinect dash... The system restarted and she was greeted with the "System Update Stopped" message and a "23ef - 3080 - B200 - 0700 - C000 - 0013" status code. I can't find any way to repair it. I've tried downloading the update from the microsoft site and installing it from cd / usb, but it doesn't work.

Any ideas?

You must be referring to Assassin's Creed Brotherhood or that new Harry Potter game.

What firmware are you running?

You can finish the update if you put in your original disc (not the copy). You have the original right?

can you please provide the status code provided in ther error screen?

mine has the following:
3080-3143-b600-0700-c000-02b6

hmmm... not sure but when i convert the error codes from HEX to DEC numbers here are the results:

23EF-3080 = 9199 - 12416

3080-3143 = 12416 - 12611

does this mean that it's giving us the previous and current version of the dashboard?

my xbox is currently in the repair shop and i'm not able to try this.

Thanks for the hint! It worked, tried newest update, but that didn't work. Then tried your method, converted second part of error code to dash version my client tried to update and downloaded it from site you mentioned, updated from usb. Thanks!

I just bought this console off cr@1gslist and when I turned it on it had the System Update Stopped error. I tried converting the status code from hex to dec and it came out to 7371. I downloaded that update but that didn't work either. Can anybody help me here. Below is my full status code.

You might want to see if it could be jtag'ed first before you try higher updates.

Dump nand, check CB, etc....

I think that was off topic from helping him with update to waitttt make sure it can be hacked first lol.
