I have successfully modded my Xbox 360 component AV cable and transformed it into a VGA cable. I did this because I didn't want to spend $40 on the Microsoft cable.
I works perfectly, with a crystal clear picture and no ghosting or color issues whatsoever.
Some third-party cables I have seen cause image ghosting and slight blurriness, sometimes even color distortion. People say this is because they are low-quality third-party cables, and not the official MS one.
Why is my DIY totally homemade adapter so awesome with none of the above issues? LOL!
You'd think a professional manufactured cable would be better than a homemade one!
Does anyone have any idea why this is? Thanks.
