Cancerous1 ported v1.8.04 Final of the 'Super Mario Wars' homebrew game to JTAG/Homebrew 360s. Super Mario War is a fan-made multiplayer Super Mario Bros. style deathmatch game in which players try to beat one another in a variety of gameplay modes. You can play on teams, design your own levels, design your own worlds, and much more!
I know it’s a little late for xmas but today I ported this from SMW 1.8.04 Final on http://code.google.com/p/supermariowar/ . Also I fixed the endian issues with sounds so there is no static, also added some fun soundpacks to the release. Thanks to LoveMHz for inspiration and him and Lantus for all the libs they've shared and everyone else that's helped me along.
the source is at
http://code.google.com/p/smw-360/tiny fix, the sound effects for the ShaoKahn announcer in SuperMarioWar\sfx\announcer\ShaoKhan need renamed from *.wav.WAV to just *.wav, if you care to add that voice.
Glad to be able to share.

Sound issue has been fixed, only thing is sometimes this homebrew game REBOOTS my 360 while changing levels, characters, etc.

I seriously think this game is fun as hell with other players and you can't be the good ol price of a free Mario death-match game. W0000t will test right now

Yeah we had fun playing with the earlier version of this one, We were hoping for some-sort of network support. Can't wait to check out the new one, If only I could find the/a download link......
At any rate thanx for supporting this little game, it's a great concept and seems to play very well too! u guys seem to have a talent for coding games./Brgds/Dan

Yep I had the same problem, if I can get a more stable one built I'll share it

but the SVN is up for anyone else that can improve it too.

I can't play with more than 1 controller at the time either. It's like it doesn't register any new controllers. I had another controller synced and signed in on my xbox, but it won't work in SMW. Am I missing something really obvious?
Me and my friend was gonna sit up all night with this game, we tried like, everything. But we ended up having to play against 3 bots and pass the controller after each round instead.
Anyone got this to work yet?

Screw the reboot-bug, prioritise the multiple controller-bug first

this game is too good to play alone!

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about connecting more than 1 controller?
Is there going to be any fixes for this? Kinda nervous since it says "final" in the release-title.
I mean it's a multiplayer game, and a great one at that! But not much use with just 1 controller being able to connect

Keep in mind folks that you get this for free ... he has a life to take care of before he brings you multi-player support ... and is working on other projects .... in time you will be able to use multiple controllers ... think of it more like here is what HE is doing and wants to share it with you , he puts out source with all his work so that anyone can fix it ... Just think before you post.
