Here is the deal, I have an older 360 (no HDMI port) given to me that has an odd issue. RCA (composite) colors seem fine, but when I switch the cable to HDMI and hook up the HiDef cables, there seems to be no red colors. I also tried my VGA cable and its the same issue on my PC monitor, no red colors seem to be showing. In all the cases the proper resolution was showing (480 for RCA, 1080i for HDMI and 1080 for VGA).

Also, this 360 is updated to the latest dash with no issues.

I have tried the cables (these cables are original, NOT home made) on a different 360 and the colors show up just fine.

Could this be a connection issue in the 360? (bent pins, bad solder joints, ect) or is this a sign that something worse is in the horizon?

UPDATE:

Well, after using my multimeter to test various things (solder joints, connections, etc) I discovered a white "dot" on the ANA chip....yep, something inside of the ANA chip fried, killing the red output leads for the vga/hdmi output.

So, consider this closed.
