This is NOT a skin or a theme. This is not a fsd 2.0 update.
Don't forget to check out http://covers.jqe360.com and upload all your cool homemade covers.

would it kill you to add just a little more information? Thats what headliners are for you know..

Ok, I'll bite.

What the hell is this ? Looks neat but what can we use it for ? Insert custom covers into FSD ?
If so, what is the use ? I thought FSD downloaded covers and info on it's own.

Although it seems a neat application (kudos for that), i'm a bit lost on what I'm supposed to do with it ..
colt45joe
its a new dashboard.
Grandmaster56
I personally think we have enough dashboards already.I would love to see other work being finished like the great looking LibXenon N64 emu and the ps1 emu.But this does look like a nice neat piece of work and looks like it performs well.

I like it. Been hoping someone would this. It's exactly what i have on the kids wii (usbloader) and it's much better than any other game browser.

it looks very promising.

As much as I love FSD2.0, it sucks compared to the likes of the managers for the Wii even tho the wii itself sucks.

The wi menu (Configurable USB Loader) is very sleak, and super fast to use and navigate around covers etc, whereas FSD and even the official NXE dashboards are very slow and clunky by comparison

Slow and chunky and buggy... I sometimes can't even get a game to show up without going in to the "manage game paths" section and changing the scan depth, saving and rescanning. It's a pain.

The wii loaders are definitely way ahead of the game. So smooth and easy to upgrade, navigate, install etc.

Am i the only one not experiencing chunky and buggy times with fsd 2.0? I have litterally 100's of games and everything is smooth.

Now ot. Will this be fsd 3.0?

The only buggy thing is fsd is Xlink kai which really not Freestyle's fault IMO. The reason why development on the wii is obvious.

I'm looking forward to this new dash though.

MS started making the xbox more like a wii, with avatars and the annoying sounds and all that. now, homebrew loaders for jtagged 360s are looking a lot like the ones for modded wii's wink.gif

what is this and how/when to get it?

Looks like a new look dash (but looks similar to one on the original xbox created by team black something or other, can't remember what it was called) with a wii type game browser.
If the video is real time, its also quicker than the the official dashboard and FSD dash.

i agree
Sonic-NKT
if it is a new dash then wtf???
why not work on FSD2 and skinning support?

i would guess its a new skin for FSD, maybe next official release which will become a the new standard skin...
anything else would be stupid imo.

a message from TeamFSD:
QUOTE

Few notes for those speculating/curious:

1) Video is real time, and runs same speed on JTAG
2) Core coverflow code is based around wiiflow 1.1 (credit will be given where due when complete). It has been strongly adapted to the xbox360 platform, including xui, and direct x
3) Skin is based around Ellipsis from XBMC and Team Blackbolt- we have permission from EqUiNoX to base it around this ( EqUiNoX is an ex-member of Team Blackbolt and a current member of Team FSD)
4) Music was done by Blackwolf from #freestyledash
5) Not a skin for FSD2.0, its also not a future update for FSD2.0- it does contain the FSD backbone- but separate for now. Currently, we are trying to get community participation in building a cover library similar to that of wiitdb.com
6) No release date- and its not close to ready- our intent is to show you what's coming so we as a whole have drive to build the cover database.

Stay tuned...

a mod might want to add that to the original post
