Xbox controller >PS2 > PS2 controller > PS3

I know you can use the wired 360 controller or you can get the PS360's, but is there an adapter that would allow an original Xbox controller to be used on my PS3? (I would assume XCM do it, but there site isn't very informative on this stuff).
Perhaps I can chain adapters together? Like:

Yes, I've done that. Very good with a wireless Pelican Eclipse 2 controller if you aren't too nitpicky about joystick deadzones.
