Havent updated the FW since the kinect dash update last year I think and I had the LT+ FW installed that let you play Assassins Creed 2.
Theres a new update out this year right, the latest one?
Just wondering am I safe to update to latest dash? I don't care if Halo Reach or COD don't work any more and I'm not playing any backups online anyway. Is that the only thing that will happen or possibly get banned too?
The 360 is an Elite with Benq drive and current 12611 dash version.

As long as your have LT+ you should be fine to update. All the update did was enable ap 2.5 in games that previously did not have them enabled.
All you would need to do is rip those games again and run them through abgx to get the AP 2.5 patch and burn them again and they will work just fine on the new dash.
