The fans aren't modded they are soldered to a different power source on the xbox so you would have to install it
I guess you are both unaware of the fact that it can be soldered to a 12v point on the DVD Drive cable?

It can be soldered in alot of places - thats not the point - point is - unless you buy a 3rd party fan that has a turbo button and overrides the system speed the only way to 12V fan mod is to cut wires and solder sires - and again should not be in the BST - should be under modding.
Why? I'm looking to buy one that is soldered to the DVD cable, and I've received PM's from people who are selling them. Is this really difficult to comprehend?
