i just recently destroyed my ps3 60gb CECHC02 , dropped the mobo after ylod fix and cracked the ram , any hoo i bought a 40gb CECHG02 mobo and was wondering could i remarry a brdrive out of a 60gb into a 40gb? and will the newish 40gb mobo fit into the 60gb case? (i havent got the 40gb yet its being delivered soon)

I think not. the IC on the BD Drive holds a matched key with the mainboard.. So if you change the mainboard you must have the paired BD-Drive's daughter board with it.
