Okay guys and gals, got my shipment of buttons and joysticks in today, 2 Happ Ultimate Joysticks, 20 buttons assorted colors.

*They are here!!!* Currently waiting on my coin door (http://goo.gl/GucEs) to come in, also waiting on my lot of 15 xbox controllers and light guns (http://goo.gl/Aq9y5) to come in from Ebay.

Went ahead and through the usual sources got my XBox loaded up with enough games from varying consoles/arcade machines to keep me happy for a very long time.

As soon as the controllers come in i'll get started with the controller wiring. Since the first one I did was kind of bad (lifted a trace on the PCB and not very happy with the quality of soldering/type of wire) i'm going to be switching to using cat5 for the wiring, it will be much easier to manage and a much cleaner process overall.

*Update* Sadly no soldering will be done tonight. My allergies are kicking my butt really hard tonight, so I just took me some benadryl and i'm hopping in the bed. More updates tomorrow though!

i see you wiring to the coin slot door.
are you actually going to use the coins for credits?

i have been thinking of this too, i actually read that the 3rd party controllers are easy to use too.
the microsoft brand controllers are too clean i think, 3rd partys are more spaced out for soldering.

looks cool.

you can always cut up the circuit board and resolder connections using low gauge wires to space them out. I was concidering this my self.

the coin slot i was also concidering but i was trying to find the old token type coin slots. i dont know if you had them in the states. so i am adding a picture


i was concidering tokens to be easier than random coins and means i dont raid the case for coins depleeting it and leaving my self with a coinless cabinet

I'm just starting to convert my cabinet from XP to XBOX1. I soldered my first controller and got coinops 2 r3 workign with my vertical 25" tv. If you are looking to play oder games only, the xbox1 makes a great brain for a cabinet.
