Hey guys im wondering if i can change tv settings which is in the ms dashboard. Yesterday i changed tv settings from normal tv to flatscreen (dont know why i did it) now i cannot start my games and the xbox mediacenter (freezes) because my tv is normal but i changed the setting to flatscreen. Can i ftp and change the settings from a pc?

Any help is appreciated.

There's no such thing as a flatscreen setting. Do you mean widescreen?

Which region are you in?

How is the Xbox modded? If softmodded, which softmod?

By mediacenter do you mean XBMC? Is that your default dash?

Can you boot a rescue disc?

...... and why did you post in the EvolutionX forum?

Yes, i meant wide screen

if ur meaning region is it game or country if it is game region its PAL.

Im not really sure if its softmodded or something else because i had my cousin mod it from a store.
But the xbox is EvoX.

yes i mean the xbmc but its not my default dash. My dash shows: Games, mediacenter, system utils, apps and poweroff

Where did you change the settings to enable widescreen? If you did it in XBMC then the solution is to reset the XBMC settings by holding down both thumbsticks as XBMC starts.

First i go into xbmc and then i go to c: files from there i can find xboxdash.xbe something like that and when i click it im being sent to ms dashboard and there i can go to: video, delete saves and more. I opened video and changed to widescreen. Am i able to move my xbox to my grandma´s house because she has a widescreen tv and i might be able to use the xbox there and change the settings.

That would work. Did you try resetting the XBMC settings with the thumbsticks?
Alexgiang
i tried resetting with the thumbsticks but it didnt work sad.gif
