Full Version: Hot To Remove The Analog Sticks From S Controller?

I've modded a control into an arcade stick, but the left analog stick likes to dance around the place...

Is there a way to replace it something else? is gonna be used for emulators, so no need to keep it or replace it for a functional part.

get a soldering iron and solder sucker and desolder the stick assemblies from the board. As a replacement for the sticks I'd suggest leaving the microswitches attatched to the stick assemblies on the board and fill the holes where the sticks were with buttons which will press down on those microswitches.

Never ever, this is a different controller with a different approach, for the very same mod, I don-t really get it, the button never got back, so i-m unsoldering all the work done...

I remember some kind of resistor being used for the analog stick (for a replacement), of course, you have to take in count, i'm using a salvaged controller for the very same mod, but the left stick is dancing like insanely crazy, unleashX unable to use, gotta use remote.

any help will be appreciated.
