Mario Kart (snes and 64) are the most frequently played emulated games on my xbox

Working my way through the donkey kong countries at the moment, just clocked the second one

Just finished "Star Ocean" (SNES), and started "Golden Sun 1" (GBA). Man, I love this XBOX!

Mainly: SNES, TurbografX, and Arcade games... and of course, RessurectionXtras!!

I appreciate a lot the work of all the people involved in these awesome projects. Thank you very much!!

It's all about the arcade games for me. Plus a little MOH on PS1 every now and then.

Well lately it's all been about MSX for me, are there any MSX fans out there btw ?

I'd totally forgotten about that thing. We need to get more of these obscure systems emulated on the Xbox. Your team obviously has lots of spare time, what ever happened to madmab; that dev you guys used to keep chained up in your emuxtras basement??

anywho...

haven't really played anything as of late due to THE AWESOMENESS OF GETTING XTRA'S on my xbox. that has been my only mission with the big white box... (my xbox is white )

I've always wanted you to do something. But with the exception of madmab's awesome emulator releases I've been sorely disappointed thus far. Whip him into emulating the Sega Pico and I may even forgive the rest of you.

i need to chime in here, i have never been able to get the xtras packs to work in any of my xbox softmods. i have a few threads documenting my problems but never really had any help.

im not thread jacking, im tired and just wanted to chime this in. ill start a new thread about my woes later if anyone is alive in here and wants to help.



by the way, for me emu wise, madmab NES w/various bootlegs/romhacks.


has anyone ever had bruce campbell vs. ganon work properly for a snes emu? runs like butt for me. i really want to get into some of the super metroid hacks. any words about those would be great.

if i play the emu's on my box i usualy play the snes. and then mostly chrono trigger or seecrets of mana excetera
Those are some awesome rpg's for the system.

I tend to play most of the other games on re releases for the xbox. capcom collection excetera.
I also try to play light gun games like yoshis safari, not all of them work that well though so ive swapped to playing pointblank on the pc's mame (I'm a sell out)

mario kart is prety fun too, and cannon fodder rox. (i guess i only play the snes lol, i should delete the rest)

I own a beautiful crystal Xbox (the one with the clear plastic case) which mostly gets used as a media centre but I still fire up the emulators once in a while.

Best thing for me about madmab's work is the fact that anyone is actually working on Xbox emulators at all! But I like that he's looking at updating core components and improving the emulation rather than just enhancing the UI. That being said I also like that little option that lets you use a default config when you first run a game, the settings screen always used to bother me. Oh and the improvements to the skinning system are just awesome. In fact I find myself without anything bad to say about his work at all. That's worrying.

So does that mean we get more provocative pics or not ?

Unaware of anymore hacks aside from the "just-in-bailey" hack..

Not while I'm still waiting for my Sega Pico support.

i recently released a nestopiax update 1.1 which further improves emulation accuracy and a core update as well as a database update which makes some ips patched games no playable. and 1.2 will be out soon, im working on some stuff and fixing the flip filter rendering some of the other filters backwards too. DOH! hehe

Working Solely (and on my own) on C64 Xtras..4000+ Titles sorting, collecting the latest and / or best trained versions, with new screenshots, titleshots and boxart plus controller and game configs. plus manuals etc. pfff

Err...I`m insane or at least I will be! More involved in the C64 scene then Xbox atm basically


But having a great time!

I for one hope you are planning on upping the C64 xtras when completed.

At the moment I am mainly making skins for the emus. Get about 10 minutes every now & then to actually play some games.

By the way Neil, is there a specific place to download all your skins...I have most of them i think but Im sure I am missing a few. Or atleast a list of all the ones you did because everytime I come across one of your skins i end up using it. Can't pass up your work.

Any plans for a C64 skin? No one seems to give that emu enough credit. It happens to be my most played
emulator. I cant get enough of it. Anyway, just a question...would love to see a skin for the C64 that resembles the GBA skin you did or something that resembles the PCSXbox skin.

I know your very busy but if anyone is going to tackle a C64 skin, it may as well be one of the best!

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for emulators for other systems to check out? There's a lot of great information on this site but at times it can be kind of difficult for someone who's new to xbox homebrew to know which apps to get and which to avoid.
I've checked out The Great Xbox Emulation Answer Thread but it hasn't been updated in a while.

i would say you should check out x68000x a sharp x68000 emulator which has some great arcade ports and japanese exclusive games.
winuaex an emu which emulates the amiga and also some of the 8bit computer emulators like vice64.

Mednafenx_PCE is a very good emulator of the Turbografx/PCEngine console. It even runs the CD games for that console, and you can find real gems there ("Akumajo Dracula X - Chi no Rondo" is one of the best Castlevania games of all times).

personally... nothing. im sure glad i spent 10,000 hours making icons, getting the xtras and setting them up. learning about modding, millions of transfers etc... time well spent lol. im sure some day it will get used more

I have a tendancy to buy things because I want them, and then not use them. Just to have and say I've "modded" it. I have put good use to the X-Box on two trips, and on occasion at home, but not so much that the xtras pack was worth the time. Who plays EVERY game ever made?!

I also bought a Dreamcast, which was after the X-Box, and I plan on buying a Gamecube. (I think I plan on owning everything at some point, with flash carts or some other method of "jukebox"ing games...)
