Is it possible to jailbreak a PS3 slim CECH-2102A on OFW v3.5? Or is there a way to downgrade it to 3.41?

I have a couple of Jailbreak dongles at hand to do this.

I have been told by a few forum users that I should update to OFW 3.55 and then to CFW 3.55 and don't bother with 3.41 with the dongles which I think is a better option.


Could someone confirm that it is SAFE to use CFW 3.55 on SLIM PS3s before I jail-break it?

You can downgrade it. It is simple. Use lv2diag.self and have a secondary usb stick handy. Have you dongle loaded with psgrade.bin for your particular dongle. there are specific binaries for each type of dongle.

But do you really want to downgrade it or go to CFW 3.55? I simply stay on 3.41 because I can get modded eboots for GT5, which is all i care about anyway. And I have all my games on the hdd already.
